Licensing Eyore
Trial Version
The trial version can be downloaded for free from various sources and used as “nagware” without installing a license. To remove the reminders you must purchase a license.
Licensed Version
When you purchase Eyore you will receive a license file via email. If you have a spam or virus filter, please check your spam folders if you did not receive your license file.
Installing & Activating The License
- Save the license.bin file to your desktop.
- Start Eyore
- Click on the settings tab.
- Enter your email address into the email box. The email address must match the address where you received your license.bin file. The email address is NOT case sensitive. For example: “myname@aol.com” not “myname” or “myname@aol”.
- Drag the license.bin file onto the license box and “drop” it there.
- You can manually save your license.bin file by copying it to the Eyore installation directory, normally: C:\Program Files\Cyber Sprocket Labs\Eyore
Inactive/Invalid Licenses
If the settings match the encrypted contents of the license.bin file, the email and product ID fields will turn green. The “record” button on the main Fees Tab will also be activated.
If you do not have a valid license, some basic features will still be enabled. You will be prompted to visit http://www.cybersprocket.com to purchase a license depending on what you try to do with the software.
Manually Install License
Unfortunately, some systems will not allow the “drag and drop” feature.
You can manually save your license.bin file by copying it to the Eyore installation directory, normally: C:\Program Files\Cyber Sprocket Labs\Eyore
Installing Eyore
The downloadable files are the same for the trialware and fully licensed version.
- Choose “Run” when prompted to “Run or Save”
If you do NOT have the Microsoft .Net Framework installed, you will be notified during the setup process.
The install program will create a “Cyber Sprocket Labs” directory on your PC where the program files will be installed. A shortcut to the program will appear on your desktop and in your programs menu under the “Cyber Sprocket Labs” folder.
Running Eyore
Double click the Eyore icon on your desktop, or select the Eyore program from your programs menu to start using Eyore.
Support
If you have purchased a license but can not get it to work please email us at info@cybersprocket.com. If possible please forward your original purchase confirmation email including the license file that was attached.
Microsoft .Net Framework
If you are using an older PC you may need to download and install the Microsoft .Net Framework before you can use Eyore.
Most newer systems, especially those running Windows XP or Vista will not need to install the Framework as it is a standard part of the operating system.
