Cloud Computing
I have spent a large part of the past 2 years researching and implementing cloud based infrastructure solutions. The entire infrastructure of the 3DChat MMOG is being constructed on top of the Amazon Web Services cloud based solution. As this new technology continues to emerge, I have been keeping pace including advancements in persistent storage of instance data, edge-of-network delivery systems, and expansion/contraction of cloud resources based on demand. I am a strong proponent of cloud computing as a potential game-changing technology for any CTO if implemented in a well-planned and controlled manner.
Linux/Unix
I have developed an extensive library of LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL:PostgreSQL/PHP: Perl) tools. The tool set has been used on various sites and includes complete eCommerce solutions and high transaction volume financial database systems. The tool set includes dynamic web content, self-managed web interfaces, customer communication, vendor communication, order processing, and financial management modules. The complete library contains over 100 Perl modules, along with DHTML/HTML/XML pages, and a variety of Linux shell scripts that have been developed over the past 8 years specifically for internet-centric sites.
Windows
For front end windows applications and Microsoft server solutions I can provide Visual Studio .Net solutions based in VB or C++. Several small standalone windows applications have been deployed using the .Net architecture and I have been in charge of large commercial release software. I have also worked with several large-scale microsoft deployments including architecture and code challenges involved with ISA servers, WSUS servers, Active Directory authorization, LDAP, NTLM, and MS-SQL security solutions.
